It is 24 km at its longest and is the source of many small streams that cascade down its slopes. It is surrounded by a variety of magnificent peaks such as Swarga Rohini, Bandarpunch and Black Peak. This glacier is one of the biggest in the area and provides water for the Yamuna River.

The Gangotri Glacier is situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. Situated in the Himalayas, it is one of the chief sources of the River Ganges, with an estimated length of 30 km and a height of 3,848 metres (12,690 ft). It is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas, on the edge of the Bhagirathi basin, and is included in the Gangotri National Park.

The Kafni Glacier is situated in the Himalayan Mountains of Uttarakhand, India and is approximately 4,220 m (13,850 ft) high. It’s part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, which is located in the Bageshwar district.

The Milam Glacier is situated in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India, at an elevation of 3,500 meters. This glacier in the Kumaon Himalayas is the second longest, covering 10 kilometers. This glacier is an ideal destination to visit again and again during the year. To experience heaven, take the trek to Milam Glacier with its picturesque glaciers, lush meadows, and waterfalls.

Namik Glacier is located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India, at an altitude of 4,600 meters. It is a great spot for snow lovers, the best time to visit being between April and June, when the snow is at its best. The place offers mesmerizing views of snow-capped peaks, lush greenery and getting there is an adventure in itself, as one needs to trek for 5-6 days, depending on the route taken.

The Pindari Glacier is located in the Indian Himalayas of Kumaon region of the Uttarakhand State. It stands 3,210 metres above the ground. This trekking destination is in Bageshwar district and is one of the most frequented sites in Kumaon.

Satopanth Glacier is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, at an altitude of 5,450 m. It is one of the most beautiful glaciers in the Himalayas and is a great trekking and camping destination. The best time to visit the glacier is from late April to October, when the weather is at its best.
